How to Book a Fishing Trip!
Booking a fishing trip is easy!
Simply contact our office by phone or e-mail for currently available fishing dates. There are no high-pressure sales people here! However, we encourage you to initiate contact as soon as possible to secure your preferred date(s). Certain times of the year are more popular than others, and those dates fill quickly.
Once we have established a time that works for you and your party, you will need to submit a deposit of $100.00 per day reserved. You may pay by credit card or mail a check or money order. We must receive your deposit within 10 days after the reservation is made to assure your date.
Once your deposit has been received, we will mark your date(s) on our master schedule. The remaining balance for your charter will not be due until the end of your fishing day(s).
Booking and Deposit Procedures – New Customers
To be as fair as possible, we schedule charter trips on a first-come, first-served basis. We do accept verbal bookings at which time we tentatively schedule your trip. You must then forward a deposit of $100.00 per day reserved to our office within 10 days after the reservation is made. Please note that in many cases, especially for prime times (particularly weekends), several parties may verbally commit for the same date(s). To be assured of your desired date(s), it is best to pay the deposit with a credit card at the time the reservation is made.
Booking and Deposit Procedures – Returning Customers
The majority of our customers become repeat customers. Usually, returning customers verbally book their trips for the following season as they leave the boat each year. As a returning customer this practice ensures your date(s) for the following season.
Each year when you book your trip for the next season, you are booking with that Captain on that boat unless you specify otherwise. We change captains and boats only in case of emergencies, and you will be notified in advance of the details if that type of change becomes necessary. Examples of this situation include repairs for the scheduled boat or illness of your particular Captain.
On August 1 deposit invoices are mailed for the upcoming season. (Invoices for August and September customers are mailed later.) Deposits must be received within 10 days following delivery of the invoice unless other arrangements have been made. With proper notice an extension can be easily granted should something arise. Otherwise, if the deposit is not received within the 10-day period, the trip date(s) will be considered open and will be available to new customers.
Cancellation Procedures
Please understand deposits on all Lake Erie walleye fishing trips are non-refundable because we have fixed costs and expenses prior to the boats leaving the docks.
No cancellations will be accepted or deposits refunded, but we will be happy to reschedule your trip for an acceptable open time during the same calendar year.
Weather cancellations
Your safety and comfort are our major concerns. The Captain of your boat has total authority to cancel any trip he feels is not safe due to weather, wind, or adverse seas. In that case you will be offered another trip, or your deposit will be refunded.
